Assessment & advisory
GovRAMP / StateRAMP Readiness Advisory
GovRAMP readiness, formerly StateRAMP: scope cloud services, review security controls, prepare documentation, and organize assessment and monitoring evidence.
Discuss your GovRAMP requirementsWhat we assess
We establish cloud boundaries and responsibilities, review applicable control requirements, and assess documentation and operating evidence. GovRAMP is the current program name following the StateRAMP rebrand. Historical contract wording can still use StateRAMP, so scope discussions should connect that terminology with current program requirements.
Evidence to prepare
- Cloud architecture, data flows, service scope, and responsibility / inheritance information.
- Security plan, control implementation records, and assessment preparation materials.
- Vulnerability management, corrective actions, and continuous monitoring evidence.
Keep design evidence separate from operating evidence. An approved procedure shows how a control is designed; dated records show whether it ran consistently over the review period. Evidence should identify its source, owner, scope, and collection date.
What you receive
- Readiness gap assessment aligned to the required status and buyer expectations.
- Documentation and control remediation roadmap.
- Preparation planning for independent assessment and ongoing program obligations.
The assessment outcome
An organized public-sector assurance preparation package. Program recognition and formal status decisions follow GovRAMP’s process and are not awarded by the readiness advisory engagement.
Common questions
Are GovRAMP and StateRAMP different programs?
StateRAMP announced its rebrand to GovRAMP in 2025. Use the current program guidance while checking any historical terminology in customer contracts and procurement documents.
What determines the engagement timeline and cost?
The system boundary, number of entities and locations, existing control maturity, evidence availability, and assessment pathway determine the effort. Share your customer requirements and target milestone so we can define a realistic scope before proposing a schedule.
